La
Casalta rises in the hills and stands against a background of
breathtakingly beautiful landscape in the heart of one of the most
characteristic and picturesque valley in Tuscany. It is home to much
history and culture and the centre of great Etruscan civilization. One
can drift slowly from the most distant past to the most recent, from the
intriguing medieval hamlets steeped in mysterious tradition to the
enchanting masterpieces from both the Humanism and Renaissance periods.
Our
Villa set in 40.000 square meters of magnificent green parkland which
includes an English wood of ancient holms and oak trees, cypresses,
olive trees, a vineyard and rich greenery which sets off the villa and
the swimming pool (15x7m) allow guests to spend a memorable and peaceful
time.
In
our Villa you can find all information that you need and other kind of
service like computer with internet connection, satellite TV, on request
a mobile phone and all you need.
In the
immediate area you can find: Guided tours; wine tours; thermal baths (Rapolano,
Bagno Vignoni etc.) with wonderful swimming pools under the sky; golf;
flying engine-powered craft, ultra light aircraft; riding stables and
excursions; tennis; bicycle and mountain bike hire; fishing; nature
observation, many other services and in the villa you can have Italian
cooking lessons and gourmet dinner.
La Casalta is situated
in a secluded location but at the same time, in 20/60 minutes, you can
reach many of the most beautiful towns and cities of Tuscany and
Umbria. Among those within easy reach are Arezzo, Siena, Firenze,
Cortona and Montepulciano (that you can see from the park), Perugia,
Assisi, Deruta,Pienza, Montalcino, Orvieto and the characteristic tower
hamlets of San Gimignano, Volterra, not to mention the countless
villages dotted cross the hills, each of which jealously guards its
treasures. You can also easily reach Rome in 90 minutes by train.
The villa is situated between
two very beautiful villages, Sinalunga (3 km) and Lucignano (5 km) in
which there are many supermarkets and other kinds of stores. 2 km away
there is also a big shopping center.
